Abstract
There are some theoretical terms so closely associated with - assumed to be central and idiosyncratic to - the thought of some thinker that their simple mentioning immediately invokes a name. Cogito "means' Descartes, the "monad" - Leibniz, and similarly "base and superstructure" immediately recalls Marx.
