Knowledge and cultural objects

Abstract
It seems to me that it won't be an exaggeration to say that for a long time knowledge was investigated in philosophy either in terms of the result of external objects acting on an individual subject or as something which is constructed within the inner consciousness of the subject. I think that this dilemma doesn't belong only to the past of philosophy but also characterizes certain contemporary trends in epistemology.
