Abstract
Philosophers whose judgment I respect and whose understanding I earnestly desire have criticized the use made of the term "construct" in a recent publication. In particular, Professor Werkmeister1 skillfully advances an argument designed to refute the view2 that verified constructs compose "physical reality." His argument is very beguiling but, I fear, somewhat verbal. Since, as it seems to me, his publication employs rather artificial means to establish a spurious difference between his view and mine, I present here a brief rejoinder.
