Ajdukiewicz on language change and truth

Abstract

In 1934 Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz published two related papers: "Language and Meaning'1 and "The World-Picture and the Conceptual Apparatus'2, whose main purpose was to apply a theory of language to explain the indisputable fact that science evolves. His project comprised a conception of meaning-rules, the thesis of radical conventionalism, a pragmatic explanation of truth and criteria of goodness for World-Pictures.3
